Basketball Recap: Johnson Comes Up Short

Johnson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Vista del Lago Eagles, falling 70-32. The Warriors lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 64-49 score last time.

Johnson's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Julius Hunter, who posted five points. Warren Elton-Green was another key player, putting up three points.

Johnson now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Vista del Lago, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-4.

Johnson will face off against West Campus at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Vista del Lago, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 63-35 defeat against Christian Brothers on the 7th.
