While Dolores didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Nucla Mustangs on Tuesday. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Dolores not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Nucla between 15 and 16 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-15.

Leading Dolores to victory were Layla Mitchell and Jordyn Erautt. Mitchell had 14 digs and one assist, while Erautt had.

Dolores' victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Nucla, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Dolores is set to take on their familiar foe Telluride at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Nucla will face off against rival Mancos at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
