Softball Game Preview: St. Stephens Indians vs. West Caldwell Warriors

The St. Stephens Indians will venture away from home to square off against the West Caldwell Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Stephens has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 26.

St. Stephens fell victim to South Caldwell and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 13-0 to the Spartans.

Meanwhile, West Caldwell came up short against East Rutherford on Tuesday, falling 12-2. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by exactly ten runs.

West Caldwell saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Danica Benge, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

St. Stephens' loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for West Caldwell, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

St. Stephens skirted past West Caldwell 8-6 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
