Volleyball Recap: Morrill Extends Winning Streak to 13

Morrill came tearing into Saturday's match with 12 straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Hemingford Bobcats. Surprisingly, this marked the Lions' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Morrill easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-17.

Katelyn Walker paced Morrill's offense, picking up nine kills. Walker got some help from Makayla Dykes and her 13 assists. Cheyenne Spore controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Morrill's victory bumped their record up to 21-3. As for Hemingford, their loss dropped their record down to 14-14.

Morrill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Hay Springs on the 18th. As for Hemingford, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Hyannis on the 18th.
