Jasper (Mo.) kept up a steady attack all game long to beat Miller (Mo.), 35-0, on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Payton Smith touchdown run in the second quarter, the Eagles were up 14-0 at the half.
Jasper grew its lead to 28 points entering the fourth quarter. JHS scored three times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Smith.
With the win the Eagles extended their winning streak to seven games. Jasper defeated Pleasant Hope 29-15 last week.
Jasper came into the game allowing 15.0 points per game.
The victory was a completely different match up compared to last season's game between these two teams, which the Cardinals took, 48-7.
The loss comes after Miller defeated Pierce City 33-26 last week.
Jasper (7-0) will play a Spring River Valley game against Liberal next week, while Miller (2-5) will take on Greenfield also in a Spring River Valley game.
