Basketball Recap: Augusta Gets the Win

Augusta lost to Boone County back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, the Augusta Panthers made off with a 60-59 victory over the Boone County Rebels. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Augusta's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Boone County, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Augusta Panthers challenge the Bellevue Tigers at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Augusta knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Bellevue likes a good challenge. Boone County will take on Clinton County in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
