Football Game Preview: Maysville vs. Grandfield

Maysville will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Grandfield at 7:00 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close match.

Maysville won against Corn Bible Academy two weeks ago with 54 points, and Maysville decided to stick to that point total again last Friday. Everything came up roses for Maysville against Temple as the team secured a 54-0 win. Junior Gunner Aprill was the offensive standout of the match for Maysville, as he rushed for 125 yards and 2 touchdowns. Aprill has been a consistent playmaker for Maysville as this was the 4th good game in a row from him.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 6-52, which was the final score in Grandfield's tilt against Fox.

Maysville's victory lifted them to 2-3 while Grandfield's loss dropped them down to 0-4. We'll see if Maysville's success rolls on or if Grandfield are able to steal their positive momentum.
