Marion Center strolled into their game  on Friday with a perfect  record and they left with the same. They came out on top against the Conemaugh Township Indians by a score of  32-20. The Stingers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians, too.
Marion Center's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Camden Rising, who rushed for 94 yards and one  score, and also threw for 200 yards and one  touchdown. Rising also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up  a  sack and making two total tackles. A healthy portion of  Rising's aerial production (133 yards to be exact)  went to  Troy Slovinsky.
 Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Marion Center proved: they limited Conemaugh Township to a paltry 1.8 yards per carry. While three picked up at least two  total tackles,  Rising stood above the rest. He rushed for 94 yards and one  TD, and also threw for 200 yards and one  touchdown. Marion Center didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 5.6.
 Marion Center's defense didn't let   Greyson Studer., get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks.  Brooks Stormer was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself. He also set a new season-high mark in  total tackles with nine.
Marion Center's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Conemaugh Township, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Marion Center will  challenge  rival Northern Cambria  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams have allowed few  points on average (the Stingers 12.8, the Colts 14.2) so any  points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Conemaugh Township is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Penns Manor  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
