Soccer Recap: Rosemead Victorious

Rosemead hadn't done well against Marshall recently (they were 1-7-1 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Rosemead Panthers' defense stepped up to hand the Marshall Eagles a 2-0 shutout. The Panthers' winning goal came courtesy of Isaac Martinez.

The win got Rosemead back to even at 3-3-4. As for Marshall, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-4-4.

Rosemead and Marshall could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Rosemead (ranked 559th) will meet Arroyo (ranked 198th) at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Marshall will challenge South El Monte at 3:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025 down 318 places (544 vs. 226).
