Basketball Recap: Edgemont Sets Scoring Season-High Against Oelrichs

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Edgemont). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Oelrichs Tigers 72-40. The Moguls pushed the score to 56-33 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers had little chance of recovering from.

Edgemont had a senior duo take command as Keaton Darrow went 11-for-20 on his way to 30 points along with six assists and three steals and Sebastian Morse dropped a double-double with 23 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Darrow has scored all season. Michael Bales was another key player, going 7-for-15 to rack up 14 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Edgemont smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Edgemont and bumps their season record up to 5-13. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points over those games. As for Oelrichs, they dropped their record down to 3-13 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edgemont will take on Takini at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oelrichs, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Tiospaye Topa at 5:00 p.m. Oelrichs is facing Tiospaye Topa at the right time seeing as Tiospaye Topa is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
