Basketball Recap: Mcewen Extends Winning Streak to Five

McEwen had won four straight games and Laila Downs did her part to make it five on Monday. The McEwen Warriors took their match with ease, bagging a 70-32 win over the Harpeth Indians thanks in part to Downs, who dropped a double-double on 39 points and 20 rebounds. Her evening made it 18 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

McEwen has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for Harpeth, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.

McEwen will face off against Houston County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in McEwen's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games. Harpeth has already played their next matchup (against Fairview), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
