Basketball Recap: Sports Leadership & Management Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Sports Leadership & Management and Seffner Christian squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Sports Leadership & Management had to settle for second. They took a 51-36 bruising from the Seffner Christian Crusaders. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Samantha Montecdeoca, who posted nine points along with eight rebounds and six blocks. That's the most blocks Montecdeoca has posted since back in November of 2024. Skylar Payne was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards.

Sports Leadership & Management's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Seffner Christian, their win bumped their record up to 16-5.

Sports Leadership & Management does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Seffner Christian, they will take on Bell Creek Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bell Creek Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.9 points per game this season.
