            Volleyball Recap: Sumner Spartans vs. Graham-Kapowsin Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Sumner lost against Graham-Kapowsin back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Wednesday. The Spartans came up short against  the Eagles, falling  3-0. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
 Sumner was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the  second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-22,  25-20.
 Bryn Kastberg paced Sumner's offense, picking up nine kills. Kastberg got some help from  Casi Wicklander and her 16 assists.  Brooke Anardi controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
 Graham-Kapowsin's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Kyla Kennedy led the charge by  getting three  digs and two  aces. What's more,  Kennedy racked up 20  assists, the most she's  had since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of  Carmen Stewart, who  had nine  digs and three  aces.
Sumner's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Graham-Kapowsin,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 11-5.
 Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Sumner and Olympia will shake off the rust and duke it out  at 7:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Graham-Kapowsin, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Rogers  at 7:15  p.m.  on Tuesday.
