Basketball Recap: Tulare Western Falls Short of Central in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Tulare Western can now relate to. They had to suffer through an 81-50 loss at the hands of the Central Grizzlies. The game marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Tulare Western still got an impressive performance from Malachi Ficher, who went 6-for-15 en route to 16 points. Ficher's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Taylor, who posted ten points in addition to five boards and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Tulare Western and nudges their season record down to 18-11. As for Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-12.

Tulare Western does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Central, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-45 victory against Bakersfield on the 19th.
