Hoover won the last time they faced Clay-Chalkville and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Buccaneers came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 70-58. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Buccaneers.

Hoover's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Messiah Millin, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten assists. Another player making a difference was Kane Burns, who shot 78% from the field en route to 17 points and three steals.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Hoover was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

When it comes to explaining why Clay-Chalkville lost, don't look at Demar Hinton. Despite the final result, he went 6-for-10 from beyond the arc on his way to 30 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Beavers, who posted eight points.

Hoover's record is now 9-4. As for Clay-Chalkville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-5.

Hoover will take on Jonesboro in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Clay-Chalkville, they will be home for the holidays to greet Plainview at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
