Softball Recap: Doherty Memorial Highlanders vs. Advanced Math & Science Academy Eagles
Doherty Memorial lost a close one when they played last Friday but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on Monday was a bit more commanding. They suffered a tough 10-2 loss at the hands of the Advanced Math & Science Academy Eagles. Doherty Memorial was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Advanced Math & Science Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.
Audrey Lefebvre made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3.
On Advanced Math & Science Academy's side, Ava McLeod spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits. McLeod has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings every time she's pitched this season.
