Softball Recap: Summit Comes Up Short

Summit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ridgeview Ravens. If the Storm were looking for revenge after losing 17-0 to the Ravens when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Summit's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Ridgeview, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Summit will take on Crook County at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cowboys have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.8 runs per game on average), something the Storm will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Ridgeview, they will challenge Caldera at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Caldera's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so Ridgeview's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
