Softball Recap: Manor Falls Short of Smithfield in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Manor can now relate to. They came up short against the Smithfield Packers on Thursday, falling 20-0. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Packers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Manor's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Smithfield, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-8 record.

Manor does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Smithfield, they will challenge Gloucester at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Dukes will roll in looking for their 22nd straight victory, something the Packers surely won't give up without a fight.
