Softball Game Preview: Pandora-Gilboa Rockets vs. Ottoville Big Green

The Pandora-Gilboa Rockets will head out to face off against the Ottoville Big Green at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses dating back to last season for Pandora-Gilboa and 16 for Ottoville dating back to last season.

Pandora-Gilboa is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came up short against Leipsic on Monday, falling 17-6. That's two games in a row now that the Rockets have lost by exactly 11 runs.

Pandora-Gilboa saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abigail Butte, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. That hit was Butte's first of the season. Kelsie Carlson was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Ottoville lost 9-2 to Continental on Monday.

Ottoville's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Pandora-Gilboa, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 0-5.

Pandora-Gilboa skirted past Ottoville 19-18 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rockets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
