Football Game Preview: Pleasant Valley Raiders vs. Gaston Bulldogs + How To Watch

Pleasant Valley is 7-1 against Gaston since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Raiders will venture away from home to face off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Pleasant Valley has three straight wins, Gaston has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Pleasant Valley barely beat Cedar Bluff the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Raiders blew past the Tigers, posting a 34-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won six matchups by 27 points or more so far this season.

Pleasant Valley relied on the efforts of Braxton Salster, who rushed for 39 yards and a pair of scores, and Kayden Vick, who rushed for 97 yards and one TD. The dominant performance also gave Salster a new career-high in passer rating (91.9).

Meanwhile, Gaston came up short against Section on Friday and fell 42-30.

Gaston's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Pleasant Valley, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Everything came up roses for Pleasant Valley against Gaston in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 34-6 victory.
