Football Recap: Golden Valley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Golden Valley extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They lost to the Ridgeview Wolf Pack at home by a 38-19 margin. The Bulldogs were down 32-12 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the loss, Golden Valley still got an impressive performance from Raymond Valderrama, who rushed for 258 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Valderrama is now averaging an impressive 118.2 rushing yards per game.

As for Ridgeview, the victory got them back to even at 2-2. The win continues a trend for them in their matchups with Golden Valley: they've now won seven in a row.

E.J. Ellis-Moya had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 117 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries, while also throwing for 149 yards and two touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Gunnar Cunningham, who gained 94 total yards and a touchdown.

Looking ahead, Golden Valley will head out to square off against McFarland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Ridgeview, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tulare Union at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
