Basketball Recap: North Hills Christian Skates Past University Christian with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lee Park Prep, North Hills Christian was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the University Christian Barracudas 75-40. The Eagles pushed the score to 56-26 by the end of the third, a deficit the Barracudas had little chance of recovering from.

North Hills Christian was led to victory by Zachary Strickland and Gio Ortiz. Strickland went 7 of 13 on his way to 18 points and five steals, while Ortiz went 5 for 11 en route to 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Ortiz is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Strickland, who posted 14 points.

North Hills Christian's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-13. As for University Christian, their defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

North Hills Christian has already played their next match (against Sheets Memorial Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. University Christian will venture away from home to take on Salem Baptist Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
