Volleyball Preview: Olney Trojans vs. Kensington KENSINGTON TIGER
Olney has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Kensington KENSINGTON TIGER at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Kensington took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Olney, who comes in off a win.
Last Monday, Olney was able to grind out a solid victory over Tacony Academy Charter, taking the game 3-1.
The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 21-25, 25-14, 25-17.
Yorianny Velasquez and Wilvianys Garriga were among the main playmakers for Olney as the former had 15 aces, three digs, and three digs and the latter had 13 aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Joselyn Rodriguez-Almendra, who had four aces, two kills, and two kills.
Meanwhile, Kensington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to Thomas A. Edison.
