Softball Recap: Hanford West Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

Hanford West came out on top against Sierra Pacific on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Huskies walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Golden Bears. The win continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Golden Bears: they've now won five in a row.

Kayhlen Boring was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Hanford West let Keira Nunes and Kennidy Perryman run wild. Nunes went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Perryman went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Adyson Owens, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Hanford West pushed their record up to 14-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Sierra Pacific, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-10.

Hanford West wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 6-4 victory against Reedley on the 25th. As for Sierra Pacific, they have also already played their next matchup, an 8-5 win against Exeter on the 25th.
