Baseball Recap: Goldendale Comes Up Short

Goldendale had lost four straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 9-10 to make it five. They came up short against the Tri-Cities Prep Jaguars, falling 10-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Tuesday.

As for Tri-Cities Prep, the win keeps they at an undefeated 17-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 11 runs thus far.

For Tri-Cities Prep's part, Will Balcom was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Balcom is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Goldendale will host Kittitas at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tri-Cities Prep, they will welcome Liberty Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Jaguars 1.3, the Patriots 1.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
