Preview: Cadillac Vikings vs. Big Rapids Cardinals
Cadillac has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Big Rapids Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Cadillac is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Big Rapids in Michigan (Cadillac is ranked 15th, while Big Rapids is ranked 136th).
Last Thursday, Cadillac earned a 59-47 win over Gaylord.
Meanwhile, Big Rapids came tearing into two weeks ago's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 52-51 win over St. Francis.
Cadillac's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. As for Big Rapids, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
Cadillac won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, slipping by Big Rapids 57-56. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cadillac since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
