Wimberley posted their closest victory since August 16th on Saturday. They skirted past the Salado Eagles 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Texans: when they faced off against the Eagles on Friday, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

Wimberley's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Salado, their loss dropped their record down to 15-5.

Wimberley and Salado should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Texans (ranked 105th) will meet Legacy Ranch (ranked 591st) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Salado will challenge Troy at 7:00 p.m. on September 2 with a big rank advantage (45 vs. 357).
