Basketball Recap: Port Washington Takes a Loss

Port Washington lost against Nicolet back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Port Washington Pirates took an 82-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nicolet Knights. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (63), the Pirates still had to take the loss.

Nicolet's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rashaad Davis, who went 12 of 24 on his way to 25 points and six steals. Those six steals gave Davis a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of David Bolden, who almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine boards.

Port Washington now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Nicolet, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Port Washington will take on West Bend West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Port Washington is facing West Bend West at the right time seeing as West Bend West is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Nicolet, they will head out to face off against Grafton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Nicolet is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 79 points per game this season.
