Volleyball Recap: Wheeling Comes Up Short

Wheeling lost against Stevenson back in August of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 2-1. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Wheeling sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 18-25, 15-12.

Stevenson was led to victory by Jane Tan and Ava Albin. Tan had seven digs and two aces, while Albin had eight digs and one assist.

Wheeling now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Stevenson, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Wheeling has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Evanston on the 29th. As for Stevenson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Grayslake Central on the 29th.
