Softball Recap: Plainfield East Falls Short of Yorkville in the Playoffs

Plainfield East and Yorkville squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Plainfield East had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Foxes by a score of 1-0. The Bengals haven't had much luck with the Foxes recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Plainfield East saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Welsh, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Plainfield East's loss dropped their record down to 23-12. As for Yorkville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-12.

As of now, neither Plainfield East nor the Foxes have any future games scheduled.
