Willows and Pierce are an even 5-5 against one another since August of 2022, but not for long. The Honkers will face off against the Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Willows lost 3-0 to Colusa on Thursday. The Honkers haven't had much luck with the RedHawks recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Willows was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-15, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Pierce entered their tilt with Woodland Christian on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 3-1.

Pierce got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-20, 20-25, 36-34.

Pierce's victory bumped their record up to 20-7. As for Willows, their loss dropped their record down to 4-19.

Willows suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Pierce in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Honkers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
