            James Kenan is 1-7 against Southwest Onslow since January of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Tuesday. The James Kenan Tigers will be playing at home against the Southwest Onslow Stallions  at 5:30  p.m.
It was a proper cat-fight when  James Kenan challenged East Duplin on Friday. The  contest between James Kenan and East Duplin didn't end well, with James Kenan falling  51-37. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings  (they are ranked 265th, while the Panthers are ranked 66th).
Meanwhile, Southwest Onslow beat Wallace-Rose Hill 51-39  on Thursday. The  victory continues a trend for the Stallions in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won eight in a row.
James Kenan better focus on containing  Oriyanna Galloway and  Khimara Dorsey as the pair were huge in Southwest Onslow's win. Galloway  dropped  a double-double on 33  points and ten  boards, while  Dorsey  dropped  a double-double on 16 points and 19  rebounds. Galloway is also crushing it when it comes to  steals: she's   grabbed at least four every time she's  taken the court this season.  Iyanna Galloway was another key player,  putting up seven  boards and three  steals.
 Southwest Onslow  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 18  offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wallace-Rose Hill only pulled down nine  offensive boards.
 Southwest Onslow's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for James Kenan, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.
 James Kenan didn't have too much breathing room in their  game against Southwest Onslow  when the teams last played  back in January, but they still walked away with  a  48-44 victory.
