 Dunham fought the good fight in their extra-innings  matchup against Live Oak  on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Live Oak Eagles by a score of  8-7. Dunham just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.

 At the plate,  Drew Bourgeois made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 4-for-4.  Easton Romano was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-5.
 On Live Oak's side,  the team  relied heavily on  Cooper Smith, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Mac Beadle, who  went 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases and two  RBI.
 Dunham's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Live Oak, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last seven games,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record  this season.
 Dunham will head out on the road to  take on  St. Thomas Aquinas at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Live Oak, they will play host again  on Thursday to welcome Central, where first pitch is scheduled  at 6:00  p.m. The pair have allowed few  runs on average, (Live Oak: 3.7, Central: 3.1) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
