Baseball Recap: Goleman Takes a Loss

Goleman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 7-2 to the Hialeah Gardens Gladiators. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Gators of the 4-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Ethan Cabrera was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 1-for-3.

Goleman's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Hialeah Gardens, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Goleman is set to square off against their familiar foe West Broward at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hialeah Gardens will take on rival Cypress Bay at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
