Soccer Recap: Poinciana Takes a Loss

Poinciana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Celebration Storm, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 539th, while the Storm are ranked 173rd).

Poinciana's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11-1. As for Celebration, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4-2 record this season.

Poinciana will square off against Mulberry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Celebration, they will take on Foundation Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Foundation Academy knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Celebration likes a good challenge.
