Basketball Recap: Medina Comes Up Short

Medina lost against Utopia back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Medina Bobcats had to suffer through a 86-41 loss at the hands of the Utopia Buffaloes. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Charlie Leman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Utopia, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 18 boards. The dominant performance gave Leman a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Taylor Wiekamp, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine assists.

Medina's loss dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Utopia, they pushed their record up to 25-4 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home.

Medina didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-40 defeat against Comstock on the 7th. As for Utopia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 79-59 victory against Rocksprings on the 7th.
