Softball Recap: Santa Clara Has No Trouble Against Macdonald

Santa Clara won the last time they faced MacDonald and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Bruins were the clear victors by a 19-5 margin over the Condor. The result was nothing new for the Bruins, who have now won six matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Jasmine (Jazzy) Ramirez, who went 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Averie Lopez, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.

Santa Clara was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. They are 3-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Santa Clara's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for MacDonald, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
