Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Andrew Jones and Rico Duenas Lead Sterne to Victory

Sterne won the last time they faced San Francisco International and things went their way on Monday too. The Sterne Dolphins secured a 45-41 W over the San Francisco International Huskies.

Leading Sterne to victory were Rico Duenas and Andrew Jones. Duenas dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten boards, while Jones dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. Duenas has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Hayn Troutman, who posted eight points and ten boards.

Sterne was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Sterne is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for San Francisco International, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.
