The Glenbrook Apaches just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Doyline Panthers at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

While Apaches fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Thursday's season opener. Everything went their way against Forest on Thursday as they made off with a 59-33 victory.

Carson Powell was a one-man wrecking crew as he shot 4-for-7 from downtown and dropped a double-double with 33 points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in field goal percentage (65%). Another player making a difference was Louie Collins, who posted five points and six boards.

Glenbrook smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Doyline can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They took down Summerfield 58-42. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
