Basketball Game Preview: Hersey Huskies vs. Buffalo Grove Bison

Hersey is on a eight-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Buffalo Grove is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Hersey Huskies will welcome the Buffalo Grove Bison at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hersey will be strutting in after a win while Buffalo Grove will be coming in after a defeat.

On Monday, Hersey didn't have too much trouble with Barrington as they won 52-38. Given the Huskies' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Fillies/Broncos are ranked 309th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Buffalo Grove played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Prospect, falling 66-39. The Bison were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-18.

Buffalo Grove's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Hersey, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.

Everything came up roses for Hersey against Buffalo Grove in their previous matchup back in January, as the squad secured a 60-30 win. Will Hersey repeat their success, or does Buffalo Grove have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
