Football Game Preview: Reeltown Rebels vs. Cottonwood Bears + Official Tickets

The Reeltown Rebels will take on the Cottonwood Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Reeltown is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Highland Home 55-19. The Rebels have beaten the Flying Squadron the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Flying Squadron has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Cottonwood humbled Chickasaw with a 46-7 victory.

Cottonwood's win came from a few key players Reeltown will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Louis Scales, who rushed for 63 yards and a pair of TDs. Hunter Edmonson was in the mix too, providing Cottonwood with one score.

Cottonwood was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 204 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 170 rushing yards in ten consecutive contests.

Cottonwood's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. The heavy lifting was done by Trent Manning and Jessie Gottfried, who racked up all four sacks between them. Manning also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with seven. Cottonwood received some extra help from Edmonson, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
