Basketball Recap: Aiken Fighting Green Hornets vs. River Bluff Gators

Winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 18 to 11 on the offensive boards, a fact the Aiken Fighting Green Hornets proved on Friday. They took down River Bluff 36-17. Given Aiken's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Gators are ranked 141st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Aiken's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Norriyah Bradley led the charge by scoring six points along with 15 rebounds and six assists. Bradley hasn't dropped below four steals for five straight games. Kissiah Landy was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five steals and two blocks.

As for River Bluff, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.
