Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Snowflake). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Marcos de Niza Padres 49-18. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Lobos' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona football rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Padres are ranked 90th).

Leading Snowflake to victory were Jacob LaDuke and Brenner Green. LaDuke threw for 296 yards and four TDs while completing 76.5% of his passes, while Green rushed for 141 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 11 carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 82 yards. A healthy portion of LaDuke's aerial production (84 yards to be exact) went to Christian Smith, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Snowflake was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 213 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

As for Marcos de Niza, they will head out on the road to face off against Moon Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Padres' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
