Basketball Recap: Winfield-Mt. Union Drops Highest Score of Season Against Louisa-Muscatine

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Winfield-Mt. Union). They blew past the Louisa-Muscatine Falcons 82-60 on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 40-38 back in December of 2024.

Winfield-Mt. Union is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Louisa-Muscatine, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Winfield-Mt. Union wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-48 loss against Holy Trinity Catholic on the 11th. As for Louisa-Muscatine, they will square off against Wapello at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Louisa-Muscatine is facing Wapello at the right time seeing as Wapello is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
