Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Geneva). They were the clear victor by a 66-41 margin over the Penn Yan Academy Mustangs on Tuesday. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 181st, while the Mustangs are ranked 567th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Geneva has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.5 points per game. As for Penn Yan Academy, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Geneva Panthers duke it out with the Waterloo Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Penn Yan Academy, they will face off against Midlakes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
