Basketball Recap: Saddleback Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Saddleback extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Christopher Trotter. The Saddleback Roadrunners simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Eastside Christian Eagles 77-12 thanks in part to Trotter, who almost dropped a double-double on 27 points and nine boards. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Saddleback's points.

Another player making a difference was Steven Orellana, who posted ten points. Those ten points gave him a new career-high.

Saddleback's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-11. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Eastside Christian, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Saddleback will welcome La Quinta at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. La Quinta knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Saddleback likes a good challenge. Eastside Christian has already played their next matchup (against Vista Meridian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
