Softball Recap: Villa Park Takes a Loss

Villa Park fell victim to La Habra and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 15-0 to the Highlanders. The loss continues a trend for the Spartans in their meetings with the Highlanders: they've now lost five in a row.

Villa Park's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for La Habra, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Villa Park will challenge Yorba Linda at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Spartans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for La Habra, they will face off against Sonora at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Raiders have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
