Newcastle had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Bishop McGuinness Fighting Irish a 4-0 shutout on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Racers sure are getting used to it with their 15th in a row.

Not much got past Tyler Frazier, who gave up just three hits to keep Bishop McGuinness off the board. Frazier has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Lane Seaton was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

Newcastle's win bumped their record up to 32-2. As for Bishop McGuinness, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-12 record this season.

Newcastle will host Dibble at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Bishop McGuinness does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
