Softball Recap: Wheat Ridge Farmers vs. Dakota Ridge Eagles
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Conifer, Wheat Ridge was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 17-2 margin over the Dakota Ridge Eagles. The Farmers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by eight runs or more this season.
Haley Cross made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Cross was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
In other batting news, Aryanna Palfy was incredible, going 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and a double. Another player making a difference was Claire Tompkins, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
