Baseball Recap: New York Mills Comes Up Short

New York Mills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Hamilton Emerald Knights, falling 23-7. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Santino DiOrio was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs. Jaden Clifford was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

New York Mills' loss dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Hamilton, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

New York Mills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hamilton, they will head out on the road to face off against Oriskany at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
